Are folks interested in this? Some of the deep learning methods employed here are pretty interesting. I work with computer vision now, I studied object detection frameworks a bit more in-depth earlier this year, and I have an NVidia Jetson TX1 board just collecting dust in my room - so if people have project ideas, I could try to get something like this algorithm working on the board, and donate it.
