Woodworking vise now on the assembly table

New woodworking vise on the assembly table. Features a quick release, which is the stick hanging down in the back. It also has the ability to swing the front jaw out of the way, allowing large pieces of stock to be insert without lifting them.

Made from a couple of $10 pipe clamps, pipes, screws, and scrap wood. (~$30 all told) Labor was about 8 hours over two days, most of which was building the quick release.

Has a depth of about 4-5 inches, and is about 14" across.

Please use it and provide feedback. This a prototype to see if we can make a vise for a woodworking bench that matches those commercially available using this technique, or if it’s necessary to spend ~250-300 to buy a nice commercial version.

Nice work! Thankyou!
