I know that managing wiring on the CNC (and other machines?) has been a challenge sometimes.
I thought of something along the lines of a RJ45 → terminal block board combined with shielded twisted pair. At 2 amps / 26awg you won’t be running power for steppers this way but …
Just a thought. If someone thinks it will actually be useful I will lay out the boards and get them made.
