in order to make space in the fab lab, the server rack has moved into
the lounge. the file server, firewall, and the telephone have been
relocated as well.
this was a big operation which involved moving the service loop for
the ethernet drops and re-punching them. i have the most important
drops patched into the switches: the wireless network, the open/closed
switch, hivestor, and the PCs in the fab lab. the others have not
been punched down or patched in yet. i'll get to those as time
permits.
if you need one done right away, the loop is behind the rack and the
punchdown tool is sitting on the rack. just find your drop and punch
it into the corresponding number on the back of the panel.
