The Name

I just submitted "Foundry for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want to
Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too"
Let's get out there and vote, people!

Iā€™m seeing some suggestions from people I donā€™t even recognize from the google group. wtf?

I canā€™t restrict (afaik) to just group members. So start writing your auto-voters now.

I say someone put a survey up on a page after the options are given and just leave it to the masses.

"... people I don't even recognize..."

Did someone say my name?

Nah, we all know Easy Eā€¦Fuck-Fuck-Fuck the police.

Ispeak germanā€¦ so if you want some real cool german namesā€¦

Could the new people post a reply in the Obligatory Introductions thread?

Thanks,

i'd second the name of "The Foundry".
has some edge, and connotations of making things.

for humor, i'd second the bakery. more subversive, and fun.

"hive" to me has nothing to do with making things, and has
connotations of allergic reactions.

we should all keep voting, and see how it goes, just thought i'd
contribute.

I tend to lean toward the names that indicate a place where something is made like: factory, foundry, forge, bakery, mill, brewery, ā€¦ haberdashery?

Other words that sound good to me: station, studio, lab, house, guild, shop,

Some of the above work better on their own like ā€œthe bakeryā€, but some sound better with a prefix, like ā€œthe power stationā€, ā€œthe circuit millā€, or whatever combination you want to come up with that goes ā€œthe $noun $placeā€.

Why hasnā€™t someone scripted this yet?
