Techshop had locations across the US and was very similar to The Manufactury here in the area. They were never something I really got involved in*, but it is sad to see a place like this go.
*only have anecdotal experience from the Bay Area, but everyone I encountered that went to Techshop was the worst person on the planet. It would have been great if it were for the people that would go there.
