Tablet woes

Hey hivers,

I sent of my tablet with a cracked screen back to ASUS to find out how much they would charge me to have it repaired (since their warranty doesn’t cover that type of damage). Their price was over half what I paid for the tablet to begin with. I did not pay and they sent it back. Odd thing is, the screen appears to have been replaced, but the tablet will not turn on or charge. Suggestions? I miss my tablet. Please help.

Thanks,

Tigerlily

Sounds like maybe they sent back the wrong customer’s tablet?

It appears to be mine. Wear and tear sends to be in the same places.

Seems*

Is it the Nexus 7? If so, try holding down the power and volume down buttons for like 30 seconds.

ASUS Transformer TF300T

They flipped a switch on the inside so it wouldn’t charge. However the screen is still broken. Outer glass is fine. Crack is inside. Dunno what to do.

If you hadn't checked for this already..

A quick bit of Googling reveals that replacement displays for that model of tablet seem to be available both on eBay and Amazon for well under $100. I'm seeing some screen replacement tutorials on youtube and various other blogs as well.

Saw the tutorials, didn’t check for replacements displays. I assumed there was no way it would be under $100… I try not to presume too much… o, well. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction and/or telling me what I thought was a dead end actually wasn’t.

Kudos,
Tigerlily
