Save the date and be sure to attend the Oxford Kinetics Festival, held on the grounds at Miami University’s Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 5:00pm.

Started in 2010 and inspired by the kinetic sculpture races of Arcata CA, Baltimore, and Burning Man, this annual festival is a participatory event with theme camps, hands-on activities, and eclectic food offerings.

Attendees are encouraged to “bring the festivities” to the festival. Main events include “The Dog’s Breakfast” alleycat monster contraption bike race through Oxford and a kids’ scramble monster bike contraption race.

The theme this year is “flight of the flier.” There will be trapeze lessons, a Wright-B Flyer will fly overhead, and many hovercrafts, drones, and projectiles are expected in the Oxford air space.
