Projector question

Hey there!

I work at ArtWorks. We have a Dell projector that hasn’t been working correctly – primarily it does not identify the computer as a source regardless of different cords we attempt to use. Rather than just buy a brand new projector, I’m wondering if you know of anyone that might be able to take a look. Before I buy a new one (it’s 5 years old), I’m wondering if it can be fixed.

Can you help? Laura Davis sent me your way. Even if can direct me to someone that would be great!

Two days ago, I fixed an Epson receipt printer that wasn’t being recognized by multiple computers. However, the USB jack in the back was noticably loose. The two mount tabs on the PCB were lifted, and 2 of the 4 data traces were loose and broken. I resoldered the tabs and put in four little jumpers for the +, -, and 2 data traces.

I’m only saying this to ask if the USB jack is loose. I don’t have time to help Sarah—sorry!
