Old Weller is fixed.

All,

I got the new parts in the weller soldering iron this evening. It is currently fitted with a chisel tip for all your “brute force” needs. A fine conical tip is on the iron holder.

I’m finding that it is getting plenty hot at 60%. That’s an improvement. Please try to keep the tips happy.

Also know that soldering irons get hotter, and handle thicker wires and materials with chisel tips or bevel tips. Cone tips are for fine work and don’t get as hot. FYI. Change the tips according to the job at hand.

I’m also able to leave the Hakko here a little longer if folks want me to.
