Hive13’s Annual Meeting for this year will be Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 at 7:30pm.
The annual meeting is the meeting each year where Hive13 elects it’s leaders for the following year. If you are interested in running, or think somoooone else woudl be a good leader, please nominate them in this thread: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/cincihackerspace/5K1GobE58Lo
Drew will be sending out the voting poll on July 1st, 2020 to allow 2 weeks of voting before the meeting, with voting closing at the start of the meeting. To give him time to prepare the poll, nominations will close at 11:55 pm on Sunday, June 28th, 2020.
We are required to meet quorum for these votes, which means that you MUST look out for the voting link in your email and fill out the poll, even if you choose to abstain from every vote.
A note on the change in the method by which we elect Board Members that was voted on last year: You now have the option to vote for as many or as few Board of Director candidates as you woudl like, instead of just having 3 votes like before. There is one very notable quirk to this method of voting though: if you vote for either ALL or NONE of the board candidates, your vote effectively counts as an abstain, as it does not affect the results. Your vote will only have influence if you vote both yes and no on at least one candidate each.
