I’ve finally solved the weird permissions issue that we were having on the mpd server with it receiving .mp3 files from fastor.
If you have music that you’d like to have on the mpd server, place it in the “Music” folder on fastor.
Also, if you don’t have an MPD client and want to play around with the mpd server, I’ve set up client175, which is a web-based interface to the server. If you’re on hive13int, you can access it via:
http://mpd.at.hive13.org:8080/static/index.html
