  • Exit signs and emergency lights in each of the expansion shops and the common areas.
  • The electrical supplies needed to install the exit signs and emergency lights
  • The hardware to finish the trim work for all the new shops
  • Ceiling lighting for the new shops that have not been completed yet
    • We will be using all of the building lights that are allocated to us. This is in addition to those lights.
  • Lighting controls for each shop to turn them on and off automatically.
  • The electrical supplies needed to install the new ceiling lights.
  • Cat6 network cable for IT needs for each of the new shops and common areas. This is for computers and security cameras.

I vote Yes, however I am confused. Don’t we already have an allocated budget for expansion? It’s in Jim’s treasury report every month, and I think last month the balance was at $46,000 allocated to the expansion remaining? All of this stuff just seems like stuff we have to do, why a membership vote?

To use funds that are in the allocation pool for expansion, there needs to be a member vote to use those allocated funds is the info I know. It was the same thing we did for the walls and the electrical supplies purchases in July.

If I’m mistaken on this I will recind this vote, but it seems like the membership should have some view in to how the members funds are being used.

Clarification from JimD. “Votes are the official way to go” Thanks for the question Kevin and JimD for the fast reply.

Yes. Let’s do this.

This is just to make it 100% crystal clear to everyone. This is a procedural vote to spend $4600 of the already budgeted and earmarked $46,000 remaining. We’ve already said yes and set the money aside, this is simply Tom asking to have the checkbook cause he’s going to the store.
