Keep the Red Fire Door Closed!
I am writing this on behalf of leadership. Over the past few weeks, we have noticed that the big red fire door has been left open without anyone around. While it is acceptable to use the door, it is not okay to leave it open for long periods of time.
This is both a safety and Hive core principles issue, under Be Excellent to Other Members. You are responsible for all “guests” who might walk through the door, both to get them to sign a liability waiver and for anything that might go missing because the door was left open. There are lots of people who have access to the 2701 building that should not have access to our space. Given the neighborhood 2701 is located in and the problems the landlord has had with some of the other tenants it is important to make sure our space is secured. As a woman, I tend to be more vigilant about safety issues and have personal experience in a situation where a locked door would have a difference.
Please respect other members and close the door as soon as you are done using it or if you see it left open. A sign will be put up to this effect.
