Some people I know are involved with this organization so I’ve been seeing photos on facebook from events they have posted. It looks like a good resource to get ideas for future events or possible synergy.

iSPACE offers programs for students, educators, and families which support and enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education that reaches beyond the formal classroom setting.

Serving as a resource for the Greater Cincinnati/Tri-State region, iSPACE programs spark curiosity and engage interest in the sciences as well as accommodate a wide spectrum of learning styles. iSPACE is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that has been serving the Greater Cincinnati area since 2001.

FLL Food factor challenge;

Join iSPACE October 18, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm to learn about the 2011-2012 “Food Factor” Challenge and requirements for participating in the iSPACE Northern Kentucky FLL Regional Tournament. Location: Turkey Foot Middle School. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

ROBOART

Can a robot create art? Yes it can! Robots are beginning to take their place in the art world with both visual and performing arts. Come explore how they are making their artistic impressions and program a LEGO Mindstorm robot to create your own patterned art masterpiece!

Who: Recommended for 5+ (an adult must attend)
What: Family night, 90 minute program

NXT-G Programming Workshop:

iSPACE is offering this free programming workshop on Saturday, October 1 from 8 am to 4 pm. It will be conducted by US FIRST Coach Jamie Diamond with the 2009 Championship Team Cougars of Columbus and FLL team LEGO Lasernauts. This workshop is intended for Coaches and FLL team members (four people total per team – see flyer).
