Yes Virginia, there will be a HIVE13 meeting tonight, January 1st, starting at the traditional 7:30pm time. However, most folks will roll in and hour or so earlier to make or chat. I’m trusting Paul will pick-up the pizza as usual unless we hear different. It will be good to reconnect with all the regulars and catch up on everyone’s holiday happenings. Guests and first-time visitors are always welcome. (Find us).
Last year, Tye surprised everyone and brought in his way-cool and very-hip Parrot Quadracopter gift from Santa.
In anticipation that Tye and/or someone else got this year’s cool new toy, tonight is the night to bring it to the HIVE for a show & tell.
And since it is New Year’s Day, be thinking about what HIVE-related resolutions you’d like to make for 2013.
- What should be the next great 2nd Tuesday topic-of-interest or speaker to schedule?
- What skill do want to learn this year? Chances are there are several of us with the same goals.
- What HIVE group project would you like to start or join?
- What new tool do you want the HIVE to work towards getting this year?
- What project do you want to complete before the October Cincinnati Maker Faire?
As has been said many time, we are a DO-ocracy. 2013 will be whatever we dream up and follow through on.
