As we’ve discussed for a couple of years, a proposed bylaw change/amendment has finally been put forth to move the required Hive13 annual meeting from July to October. Email with a unique voting link was sent out to all Hive13 members in good standing (ie your dues are paid up to date) with the details of the vote but the simple version is a single word change of “July” to “October” for the required month of the meeting, that’s it. Please check the email your Hive13 membership in intweb is registered under and click through to vote.
Per our bylaws as amended last year, for this bylaw change to pass, it will require two-thirds yes votes of the membership provided we reach quorum. Quorum for annual or special meetings “shall be fifty percent (50%) of the Members who have badged into Hive13 in the 90 days prior to the publication of the electronic vote.”
-
Current membership is 324
-
Number of people who badged in in the last 90 days is 184
-
Quorum then is 92
-
Passage of this bylaw change will need 62 yes votes.
My apologies for not posting an announcement sooner, that’s on me. If you have any questions about the vote you are welcome to ask in the threaded reply to this announcement.
