I just need some help cutting a few pieces out of a big piece of acrylic for the arcade machine i am working on that is sitting by the flammables cabinet. The piece i have is bigger then the actual cutting space inside the big laser cutter, however it is narrow enough to fit lengthways in the cutter. is anyone who is experienced with the large laser willing to help me Saturday morning?

I’d be happy to help you, but I work on Saturday until 4:30.
Unfortunately you are going to have to cut down your piece for the laser. This is for two reasons. 1. The laser vents off all the nasty fumes it makes while cutting, and this can only happen in a closed system, so the doors need to be closed. 2. There is a safety switch on the door, that confirms the door is closed. If the door is not closed, the sensor will not allow the laser to fire.
You can cut your piece down on the table saw, with a hand circular saw, or the band saw (if it will fit in the throat).
