Cool use of laser for engraving

Color engraving via fusing pigment after an engrave pass. Nothing all that revolutionary but I thought it was cool.

I have seen this one and try it yesterday at work, it kind of works but it is long to find the right settings to avoid buring the die and melt it enough to have a coloration.

Actually, we did both! The original plates for our printers were laser etched and colorized.
