First I would like to thank everyone who came down to volunteer for the Contemporary Arts Center’s Super Hero Tech Event. You guys were awesome, and we couldn’t have done it without your help!

The event had three main components: Light up gauntlets, putty, and capes/masks…
We had a soldering station set up where people were soldering together led lights together and attached it to a small battery. The kids could then decorate a glove and attach the lights to the glove that they made.
The second part consisted of using Borax/liquid starch, water, and glue to make various putty. By adding either Iron Oxide powder or photoluminescence powder to make either magnetic reactive putty, or glow-in-the-dark putty.
Finally, We had Various t-shirts that were creatively cut up to be turned into capes, masks, and other various costumes. They also used hot glue to add stylish accents to the costumes.

The two hours flew by super quickly, and left with many kids happy to don their new secret identities and fight crime with their new skills and powers!
