I’ll set my MCE box up to record the news programs tomorrow, and then hopefully I’ll be able to bash it into h.264.

It’s uploaded. Right now it’s only a low quality video, but it’s still being processed. I uploaded it in full 720p, presumably the higher quality options will become available as it finishes being processed.

If anyone’s interested I do have the 350MB cut down M2T HDV/MPEG2 and if you really want it the 3.5GB original ATSC broadcast recording in .WTV format.

youtube-dl.py just acquired the 720p copy without any trouble, so it's
definitely up by now. But I'm interested in the 350MB clip you have,
as I've been trying to keep copies in an organized place of news
stories and other media that pertains to us. What is the 3.5GB file?

the file available for download via HTTP to everyone.
What’s the SCP info, I’ll see about uploading the 350MB MPEG-2 version. The 3.5GB is the original “WTV” file format recording from my DVR, captured over the air - just in case someone might want to process from my original copy.
I've got the full 3.2 GB mpeg2 video file on a dvd, I'll leave it in
Hodap's shelf tomorrow.
