Yep, the end is in sight. Just got back from a great day at the Hive, lots of different members doing COOL things, most all fully vaccinated, all wearing masks and being properly socially distanced. We even got another new member sign-up! Incoming pledges have slowed, so the suspense is building. Will the needed funds come in at the last minute to hit the target for the big finish of the AC Fund Drive this Tuesday night, MAY THE FOURTH? Your pledge will make the difference.
It was suggested that, even though many folks may be getting tired of the daily countdown on SLACK and the Google Group Mailing List, there may be a significant percentage of the membership still in deep pandemic lockdown that are not following updates on SLACK and the Google Group Mailing List.
Therefore, if you are already a daily reader of these updates, know that an mass email blast will go out to ALL Hive members. We want to get the word out to these other members who may not know about the need and opportunity to pledge their 1/13th extra and do their part to keep all in our COOL community COOL this summer.

Hive13 AC Fund Drive - Revised FINAL Final Outcome, D-day +1
Thanks to all who attended last night’s new-fangled HYBRID (In-Person/Virtual) meeting. The general consensus was positive and we have identified areas for continued improvement. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated so the new-normal can become more normal.
We knew the finale of this first-ever “Mother-of-all-future-hive-pledge-drives” would be suspenseful and dramatic, but didn’t know it would be so chaotic. We were announcing the final results at $8,530 and were declaring good-enough success being only $1,470 short of the $10k goal. But then three last-minute pledges came in including a WOPPER at $1,471. It took us a while to confirm the results, but we can now announce a revised FINAL Final income total of…(drum roll please…) $10,301 !!! Thanks to all who contributed! We exceeded our goal!

An anonymous member has issued a dangling challenge to match the next 15 after-the-deadline new pledges of $50 that come in from didn’t-get-the-round-TOIT, not-yet-pledged members.
