Hello close friends and sworn enemies. I have developed a vote for the ongoing organization of the crafts area. The plan is as follows:
- Corner chaos by the sewing machines becomes a 4x4 Kallax style cube organizer. (Item 1) The existing 2x4 moves to the thread area.
- Speaking of thread, the thread will get a new home in custom 3D printed or vacu-formed organizers. Details TBD. They will sit in pre-made dividers (Item 2)
- The yarn stash and wrapping stuff and misc crap (don’t get me wrong, it’s great crap, it just needs organization) under the windows will also become Kallax-ed (Item 3)
- Budgeting for 24 new bins, with 34 new cubbies between the 3 Kallax units. Two cubbies are already set aside for thread (See Item 2) (Item 4)
- For the non-fiber arts crafts shelves, I’m looking to get 12 each of 6qt and 16qt clear bins. (Items 5 and 6) I assume we will have more than is needed in this area, and will make them available to other wards once I have done the main push of organization.
*In recommendation from the Slack post, I’ve added two sets of Kallax drawers for misc small things (Item 7)
