Due to the incredible range of activities Hive13 now supports, I would like to propose we change the second paragraph of the Purposes section of our Bylaws from:
“The Corporation’s mission is to promote technology through education and collaboration.”
To:
“The Corporation’s mission is to promote technology, art, craftsmanship, and creativity through education and collaboration.”

I support this. We are no longer the original 10 people that were focused on reverse engineer car control equipment, etc. So while the original mission is still true, we have grown significantly in both the capabilities and drive of the membership. The updated mission statement aligns better with the organization while not sacrificing the core of what it was originally founded upon.
As one of those original people, I agree with this change.
