Yeah that is it. Figured it must be neato tech with the powder pile. Either that or somebody did not clean up.

That was interesting tech. They basically used an inkjet to dye each piece of binder and then cured it.
Then spread another layer of binder and did it again.
Enabled full color printing of 3D parts.
I’m sure the maintenance is a nightmare and the supplies wicked expensive.

We had a ZCorp in the Hackerspace / FabLab I co-founded in 2008 with some other folks in Albuquerque. It definitely worked, but was primarily for professional use.

That. So expensive and finicky that we had to have 2 “operators” and make it hands-off to the community. Lots of architecture and industrial design firms in Albuquerque, so providing that service for $ was a funding source.

Would NOT recommend.
