Maker Faire Louisville!

Hivers,

Not to be outdone, Louisville is going to be hosting a Makerfaire too! And we’re hosting ours before yours, on September 28th, nyah! http://www.makerfairelou.org/

I think it would be awesome to have tons of regional hackerspace participation, so if anyone’s interested, fill out the form, and I’ll make sure the Hackerspace village is a happening place to hang out. Other projects, of course, are also welcome! In fact, view this as a trial run for Cincy Makerfaire!

Lots of cool stuff will be going on. We’re co-locating the event with NuLuFest, so our event already has some built-in attention. The 28th is a great weekend to be in town, since that’s the same weekend as Derbycon.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any special accommodations. I know it’s a super-busy time of the year to be involved with hackerspacedom, but I’d love to see some Hive13 folks down in Louisville!

When are your meetings?

Our open meetings are Tuesday same as yours I believe. we are open when a member is here if the member wants to allow you in.
Friday nights we have a rotten movie usually that no one pays attention to, but people show up to either work on something or just hangout.

I was in Indianapolis this weekend and mentioned the fair to Club Cyberia in Indy (http://www.clubcyberia.org/). I was told they probably wouldn’t have the gas money to come down.
